HPHA Implements Savience Healthcare Solutions at Clinton Public Hospital

A Strategic Integration to Modernise Patient Management and Optimise Patient Flow Across Clinical Pathways

Savience announces the successful deployment of its comprehensive patient flow optimisation and management ecosystem at Clinton Public Hospital, one of four sites within the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) in southwestern Ontario, Canada.

System-Wide Digital Transformation

This implementation introduces a cohesive suite of digital health technologies designed to optimise patient flow, streamline administrative processes, and enhance operational efficiency across clinical environments. At the core of this deployment is Clarity; Savience’s real-time patient flow dashboard, providing clinical and operational teams with comprehensive oversight of each patient’s progression.

Digital Healthcare Solutions for Enhancing the Patient Experience

Patients attending outpatient clinics or day surgery at Clinton now benefit from a robust digital infrastructure aimed at promoting accessibility, autonomy, and engagement. This optimises entire patient flow process through:

  • Automated appointment reminders, reducing no-show rates and improving clinic schedule adherence.
  • Pre-operative digital questionnaires and assessments, enabling early clinical information gathering and optimised procedural planning.
  • Convey web application access, allowing patients to monitor, modify, and remotely check into appointments via personal smart devices.
  • Self-service check-in kiosks, developed in partnership with imageHOLDERS, expediting on-site registration and minimising administrative bottlenecks.

Seamless System Integration with MEDITECH MAGIC 5.67 EMR

The deployment is fully integrated with the hospital’s MEDITECH MAGIC 5.67 electronic medical record system, utilising Boston WorkStation scripting frameworks to enable secure, bi-directional data exchange. This interoperability ensures real-time updates of essential patient information – including demographic changes and check-in status – thereby improving data integrity, administrative efficiency, and timely clinical decision-making.

Future Digital Expansion Across HPHA

The next phase will extend self-service registration functionality to the Emergency Department (ED) at Clinton Public Hospital, unifying workflows for both scheduled and unscheduled care pathways. This will be followed by a broader rollout across additional HPHA facilities, embedding digital efficiencies within both outpatient and emergency service delivery.

This deployment represents a significant milestone in HPHA’s strategic commitment to advancing digital innovation within healthcare and advancing patient flow opimisation. Savience remains committed to supporting the Alliance in achieving sustainable improvements in patient flow, operational resilience, and overall clinical excellence.
