West Park Healthcare Centre and Savience Launch Appointment Reminders and Patient Self-Check-In Kiosks

West Park opened a brand-new facility in Toronto, Ontario on the 15th of April 2024. To complement this, they have deployed nine patient self-check-in kiosks throughout the hospital to support the patient experience when patients arrive for their appointment.

But the patient journey doesn’t start there…

Enhance Patient Experience: The Journey

West Park is also launching an appointment reminder service so patients can be notified of the date and time of their appointment, either via an email or an SMS text message. With advancements in patient communication and healthcare management, the patient experience will be greatly improved, as will the management of the hospital, with fewer appointments not attended.

Inside the hospital, with the addition of patient self-check-in kiosk, it’s never been easier for patients to check-in for their appointments. Banks of kiosks throughout the hospital will guide patients through a simple and speedy process, to record their arrival at the hospital for their appointment.

The kiosk software will also integrate with the wayfinding solution at West Park to provide instructions to assist the patient in getting to the appropriate clinic. A great example of how flexibly the Savience solution has been implemented at West Park.
