Savience Advances Outpatient Digital Check-In Across HPHA Ontario Hospitals

2 min read

Savience is delighted to share continued progress with the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA), where digital solutions are transforming the patient experience across multiple sites.

Outpatient Department (OPD) self check-in kiosks are now live at Seaforth Community Hospital and St. Marys Memorial Hospital, joining the Clinton Public Hospital, which was the first HPHA site to introduce the technology. Alongside these kiosks, HPHA has also deployed automated appointment reminders and the Convey patient communication app. Together, these tools are already delivering measurable benefits by reducing queues, cutting no-shows, and giving patients more control over their arrival process.

In parallel, Savience is also working closely with HPHA to explore how self check-in can best be extended into Emergency Departments (EDs). Each site has its own procedures and workflows, and our joint approach ensures that when ED kiosks are introduced, they are tailored to fit local needs while still delivering the same benefits in patient flow and access.

Stratford General Hospital on the horizon

Looking ahead, the next phase will see multiple OPD kiosks introduced at Stratford General Hospital, supported by Savience’s reminders and Convey app. This expansion will provide patients with even more choice and flexibility, while helping staff manage higher volumes more efficiently in one of HPHA’s busiest hospitals.

By building on the success at Clinton, Seaforth, and St. Marys, the rollout at Stratford represents a major step forward in HPHA’s digital journey. Together with Savience, HPHA is creating a modern, patient-friendly access model that is scalable across the Alliance and sets a strong foundation for future innovation.

Savience is proud to support HPHA’s forward-thinking digital strategy, providing proven technology that is adaptable to each department’s needs and helping to shape the future of patient access across Ontario.

Building Brilliance.
